 Antibes
Antibes is a very popular seaside
resort town. Here you will find Port Vauban, one of
the largest marinas in the Mediterranean, where you
can see many luxury cruise ships. The main square in
the old town is known as "Le Safranier". It
has lovely, picturesque side streets which bustle with
activity from the many shops, cafes and restaurants.
There are several beaches in Antibes and on the road
out to Cap d'Antibes.
The most known sight in Antibes may
be the Chateau Grimaldi (Picasso Museum) which was originally
built in the 12C on a terrace overlooking the sea. It
now showcases an impressive collection of Picasso's
paintings and ceramics.
Marineland is just outside of Antibes
(4 km). The are several shows/displays throughout the
day featuring killer whales, sharks, dolphins, elephant
seals, and sea lions. There is also a water park with
a wide range of water games.
